Having grown up with a family regularly involved in residential and commercial property investment and development, Mr Griffiths has always shown an interest in real estate.
It was a previous Perth Glory connection through the Tana family which introduced Brent into property.
“I was working with a small boutique firm and had been offered to play football in Indonesia, the owner said once I decided to retire, I’d always have a job waiting for me at his property firm,” Mr Griffiths said.
“When I first started out, I found myself learning everything on the go and through speaking with property owners about offering leasing assistance I ended up leasing six properties throughout central Leederville.
“Six years on, I’ve landed at Realmark Commercial as Director of Office Sales and Leasing with a fantastic team around myself and I want to install the principles here, in which I learnt playing football.”
Mr Griffiths explained how making the transition from professional sport to a new career is extremely daunting and difficult, but it has opened an exciting new chapter in his life.
With the assistance of Realmark Commercial, Mr Griffiths is aligning with Pro Football Training to sponsor a 4 vs 4 football tournament on the 17th of December at Lords Centre.
“Playing professional football has been incredible for me, but I’ve never been happier being able to set up roots in Perth and to now assist to great programs such as Pro Football Training and really give back to the community which has given so much to me,” he said.
“This event really has nothing to do with me, it’s all about the kids and helping them learn a few skills, enjoy playing football and to be the best versions of themselves they can be.”
The event will involve 32 teams featuring 160 six to 13 year olds, with over 600 anticipated to attend.
